Granfondo Algarve:

The Algarve Granfondo Cofidis is the Granfondo of the Volta ao Algarve (Tour of Algarve). Departing and arriving in Lagoa, the 2022 edition will take place on 23rd February, on the same day as the last stage of the race that draws the most international stars to Portugal.

– Granfondo with 121 km and a cumulative elevation gain of 2143 m

The Granfondo is designed for participants who are fit and able to take a demanding challenge. They will climb to the highest point of the region, Fóia, an iconic place of the Volta ao Algarve and the Portuguese cycling.

The Mediofondo has a more accessible route, ideal for those who seek a relaxed Sunday morning, with the possibility of ending their sportive journey in time to watch the time trial that will decide this year’s edition of the Volta ao Algarve.

This will be a journey of immersion on the most genuine and least known landscapes of the Algarve.

The registration in Granfondo or Mediofondon includes the participation in the route chosen, provisions of food and drinks, gifts, bike number, insurance, finisher medal, shower, and buffet lunch.

Granfondo Douro:

In 2022 we will take the squad through an unknown Douro, we will show a new territory in the race that runs through the oldest demarcated region in the world, the Alto Douro Vinhateiro.

In the end, we have no doubts, the feeling that will invade our friends and participants will be the one that serves as the theme for the 2022 edition: FREEDOM!

Peso da Régua will be the starting point and meeting point, after crossing the municipalities of Lamego, Armamar, Tabuaço, returning to the heart of the Douro São João da Pesqueira, Vila Nova de Foz Côa and Penedono.

The most mythical of the Portuguese Granfondos is in its ninth edition, with departure and arrival in Vila do Gerês, passing through Terras de Bouro, Vieira do Minho and Montalegre, these will be the municipalities crossed by the three different routes we propose: Granfondo 131km.
With main points of interest in the Caniçada Dam, Salamonde Dam, Venda Nova Dam and Paradela do Rio Dam, but also unforgettable and challenging places on any visit to the region as the “walls” of Cabril and Fafião are already known, in the end, it will be, above all, that place where it is a pleasure to return because it makes us feel at home.
In 2022, Gerês Granfondo will combine tradition and renovation as has rarely been seen. It will be a return to the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park and all the qualities that made it the most mythical of the Portuguese Granfondos, together with the innovation that has always characterized Bikeservice’s events.
The blend of tradition and modernity is once again the hallmark of Gerês Granfondo, whose route will be tough and challenging, in the natural paradise that is the Peneda Gerês National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal.
